Remote Computer Assistance

Remote Computer Assistance is just a few clicks away.

The technicians at Aquest IT can connect to your computer, fix your issue, and then be out of your way. There is no need for a technician to visit your location for many services.



You must be an Aquest IT customer to get online assistance. If you are our customer and need assistance:

  1. Contact us at support@aquestIT.com for your Session ID Number.
  2. Access our software at: AquestIT_RemoteAssist.exe
  3. When prompted, select 'Run'.  (Also, if you are prompted by your antivirus software, you may need to confirm that you trust the program, to allow it to run.)
  4. You will be prompted for your Session ID Number and then for your name.
  5. If successful, you will see a small timer module open on your screen.
  6. There may be about a 30 second to 1 minute delay before our technician is connected to your computer.You will see our technician controlling your mouse. We'll open a chat window on your screen so we can communicate with you as we work.

 

*When our technician disconnects, the software will uninstall itself immediately. If you need assistance again in the future, you will need to get a new Session ID Number, and you will need to run the AquestIT_RemoteAssist.exe file again to re-install the software and have it initiate contact with Aquest IT.

FAQ's

Q: Is it secure?
A: Yes, we are connected to your computer over a securely encrypted connection.

Q: Do I control when Aquest IT support connects to my computer?
A: Yes. In order for Aquest IT to connect, you must run the executable to initiate the call to our technician. We can NOT initiate the call to your computer. You must initiate the call and we can answer when you call.

Q: Can anyone else connect to my computer with this software?
A: No. This software calls only to Aquest IT, and only when you choose to run it.

Q: After my session is over, do I need to do anything to lock down my computer?
A: No. The software will automatically uninstall itself when the session closes. You do not need to do anything else. You may delete the files you downloaded from us. If you ever need assistance again, you can download the files again.

Q: I can't (or don't want to) download an exe file. Is there a Zipped version I can download and unzip on  my machine?
